Church Planting
A major component in our outward mission regionally is our commitment to an aggressive church planting strategy. We have already planted CrossWay Community Church of Milwaukee in the southern most part of the city of Milwaukee. We hope this is the first of many daughter churches for CrossWay.
Our hope is that men from CrossWay are raised up, equipped, and sent out to plant churches. Our desire is to send out groups of long-term CrossWay members to go and plant these churches so they are healthy from the very beginning. We have already begun to identify communities for CrossWay church plants.
Pastor Training
We plan to design our ministerial formation program to equip future church planters and to train staff for existing CrossWay churches. We are committed to raising up men from within CrossWay to plant churches; men who know, love, and believe in the distinctive values of CrossWay. We realize CrossWay is not the only church in town and we have many flaws, but we love our distinctives as a church and how God is using our values to cultivate a people who love Jesus, His church, and His mission in the world.
Mercy and Evangelism
Our mercy and evangelism regionally is in partnership with other churches. We have sent an E-Team – evangelism team – up to serve CrossWay Community Church of Milwaukee and we are looking for ways to partner with other churches to demonstrate the love of Jesus and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
CrossWay Exists
CrossWay exists to take the gospel beyond our immediate context, especially as we send out church planting teams. Pray for the work happening beyond Kenosha County, and not just at CrossWay churches but at all churches. Pray for the work of CrossWay Milwaukee, pray for those who are participating in ministerial formation, meet them, encourage them, show them hospitality, and ask how you can pray for them. God will use you to strengthen their faith as you encourage them through your words and acts of kindness.
