Ila damu yake Yesu

Jambo from Kenya! (Jambo = touristy way of saying "Hello...I want to be friendly, but I don't actually know Swahili") Today was a relaxing and educational day. We toured the Scott campus, and learned about the history and long-term vision. It is an exciting time, as the new students began arriving for the start of the semester. (Side note: in their farm and around campus there are banana trees, avocado trees, mango, and papaya)

Winter in Kenya is rough--upper 70s, no humidity, and clear skies...brutal! Throw in the rolling hillsides and hospitable culture and I'm not sure what we will do with ourselves...

Thanks to the special offering, we had the joy of providing the first year tuition for a student. His name is Raphael Wambua Masau. Below is a video of Raphael giving his greetings and thanks. He is an amazing young man with a great testimony of what God has been doing in his life. Tomorrow, Phil, Jim, and Buddy will be traveling with him to his (and Paul Mbandi's) hometown of Masawa'a. They will be off the grid for a few days, but we are looking forward to hearing their update later in the week.

We are thankful to be here; tomorrow the projects will start. Please continue to pray for physical strength and a constant sanctifying spirit. Ila damu yake Yesu (Nothing but the blood of Jesus).
