Chapel at Scott

It's late Tuesday morning here in Kenya.

Jim, Phil, and Buddy are back in Masaw'a, hard at work putting windows in at the church where they laid the cement floor last week. What a joy it is to have the opportunity to bless that church—we've been told that we will have completed in two weeks what would normally take a few years. Building projects here are often funded each step of the way and it usually takes quite a bit of time to raise the funds. Tomorrow (Wednesday) they plan to dedicate the building. We hope to share that with you after they return.

Robin is in Naivasha today, visiting with those she came to know and love on her last trip to Kenya. Renee and Gale left with Robin this morning and are spending the day at Kijabe Nursing School to give away supplies and serve the people there. We look forward to hearing about their time there tonight.

Here on campus, we had the opportunity to share a chapel service with the Scott staff and students. Dan spoke, sharing a bit of George Müller's story and some thoughts on Hebrews 11 & 12. He encouraged the students to faithfully pursue Christ and His leading, looking to faithful believers of the past as an example. Afterward, Chip shared a short testimony. What a joy it was to be on the other side of the world, yet worshiping the same God with our brothers and sisters! Our God is truly the God of all nations!

We are grateful for the time we've had here so far and look forward to whatever God has for us the next few days. We are also eager to be back at CrossWay to share what we've learned and seen with our local church body. Please continue to keep us in prayer as we continue in our work here these next few days. Also, be praying for the students here, as the semester has now begun and classes are keeping them all busy and working hard!
