Join us in praying for the country of Poland

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

David and I would like to ask you to join us in prayer for Poland today. As you may know Polish president, the first lady together with other 86 coutry's leaders died in a plane crush this Saturday.

Marek Wyrzykowski is a good friend of ours (he was Yulia's training director when she became a full time missionary) who now directs all of our ministries aross Eastern Europe and Russia. He is also Polish. He just sent out this email we would like to share with you:

"As many of you know, the country of Poland suffered a great tragedy yesterday. The President of Poland, First Lady and about 30 political and military leaders were killed in a plane crash in Smolensk, Russia. All together 96 people died in the crash. Among them were vice-marshalls of both houses of parliament, several significant parliamentarians, the heads of several national institutions, the leaders of several branches of the Polish army. They were going to Katyn, Russia, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of a massacre of 22,000 Polish officers (prisoners of war) that took place in 1940.As you can imagine, the whole country is in the state of shock. This is the greatest tragedy for the nation after World War II.

Please pray for the Polish nation that God would use this tragic event to open people's hearts to His gospel. He is still on His throne and only He can provide a lasting foundation for both life and death. Also, please pray for the Polish ministry that God would grant them wisdom in the response to this tragedy. ... See More"Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God." Psalm 43:5. Marek Wyrzykowski."

Pray with us,
David and Yulia Beatty
