Thanks for your prayers while I was absent from my home. Last week I traveled to Miranda in the central of Brasil to train a group of native indian Christian leaders. My time there was perfect.
I left Belo at 6am and landed in Campo Grande at 1pm, at the very center west of Brazil. There I met Pastor Antonio who took me by car to Miranda (100 miles away from Campo Grande). In Miranda, Pastor Antonio left me with Pastor Paulo and went straight back to Campo Grande.
The indigenous people live in a Government given reserve and they have all the normal facilities, such as: tap water, electricity, medical doctors, dentists, schools and so on. It was an unusual experience to minister to their leaders. They speak Portuguese but have also kept their own language as well as some of their habits, especially all the relatives living together in the same plot of land.
They were very eager to learn from the Bible. Most of them are pastors and leaders in their churches. By the way there are many denomination churches in different indigenous group areas. I am sending you some pictures so that you can place them on Missio CrossWay.
Thank you very much for your prayers and for your Email. It is wonderful to hear from you. Many thanks again for your friendship and fellowship in the Lord.
In His precious and mighty name,
Nelson Salviano
