Brazil Update - Pastor Nelson

Personal Update

We are fine as a family. André had some troubles with sinus and Asthma but is completely recovered now. Camila had some intestinal virus but she is also fine now. Márcia carries on working at the Hospital and is as bright as ever. I am doing lots of different jobs from writing teaching materials to translating David Jackman's DVDs series; from writing articles for Christian newspaper to teaching at ESCALE's in situ trainings.

Ministry Trip to Miranda

I am going to Miranda Town on April 19th to train some grassroots leaders among native indians. They live in a Government protected area and as many have become Christians, they've planted different churches in the area and the leaders realized they need training. So I've been helping them since last year. I will be there from Monday, April 19th to Monday, April 26th. I am taking Pastor Geraldo with me in this long journey (900 miles away). We are very excited to meet the native indians again and be able to have fellowship with them.

Ministry in Belo

We continue our ministry with the in situ training regions but the most exciting news is that we started a "Preachers Club" in Belo and have an attendance of 12 leaders already. We are studying the Expository Preaching together and we all have a common goal: to preach the Bible faithfully. Every Wednesday from 7.30 to 9.30pm, around 15 pastors get together in Belo to study and discuss about Expository Preaching. I am translating David Jackman's DVD lectures into Portuguese at every meeting. After that we discuss the main points and talk about our own preaching. It has been fantastic!

Well, I will stop here before it gets too long. I hope to hear from you soon. Please give our love to your family and to the CWCC team that came to Brazil as well as to all our friends at CWCC.
Please do pray for my trip to Miranda. I will be ministering to different tribes and in church at Campo Grande the city where I will land and get off from.
God bless you in all you do for His Kingdom.
In His mighty name,

Nelson Salviano and family.
