Taste of Suffering for the Sake of the Gospel
Geni (picture above on the far left with hand raised), our Albanian friend and fellow missionary, has been ministering full time amongst Muslims for four years. This past fall David again had time with Geni as he participated with other Albanian missionaries in David’s Bible Study Methods course. Since that training time, Geni is now serving in a new more difficult Muslim area ministering among Albanians in Macedonia.
Just recently (Nov. 19) we received word that something happened to Geni! He had been lured into a trap set by Muslim extremists (called Mujahadeen) and beaten up because of his vocal witness for Christ. Geni’s ministry team leader shared how Geni is now afraid to sleep alone in the dark, and constantly worries about who could have passed his name and phone number on to these extremists.
Please pray for Geni and other Albanian missionaries in Macedonia to take heart, to be courageous and to continue to proclaim Christ in love! Pray that the challenge of this incidence would be met by even more laborers (especially Albanian men) being raised up to proclaim Christ to Muslims in Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia! Our Albanian friends who moved to Macedonia as missionaries serve the King of Kings in the face of a dark enemy. They love the enemy deeply, because “in that while we were yet sinners [enemies] Christ died for us.” Rom.5:8. Please pray for physical and emotional protection as they go forth
