Pray this Week for Effective Teaching

Thank you so much for remembering us in your prayers. After the Apostle Paul encouraged the believers in Colosse, "to be persistent in their prayers, being alert, always giving thanks to God," he had this request

" at the same time pray also for us, so that God will give us a good opportunity to preach his message about the secret of Christ. For that is why I am now in prison. Pray, then, that I may speak, as I should, in such way as to make it clear". (Colossians 4:2-3).
In the same vein of purpose, may I request you to pray for me, Andres Navarra, Jeff Taclas and Macelito Cagud as the four of us will teach from Nov. 8 to 11 in Iloilo City in a seminar sponsored by World Vision. Pray that we can teach the Basic Principles and Foundational Skills of doing bible Exposition to Roman Catholic priests, nuns, and catechist together with some pastors. I consider this as a critical breakthrough in training people to understand the Bible correctly and clearly so that they can in turn teach it correctly and clearly to others.

I want to give you a brief background of how this seminar was planned and organized. The World Vision in Iloilo City had many recipient of their child sponsorship program. The children and their parents were encouraged to attend a Bible class once a week. World Vision wants the Bible taught correctly and clearly. The need for people who teach the Bible correctly and clearly became one of the main issues to implement the program.

Marcelito Cagud, the PTC Regional Coordinator in the Visayas was requested by World Vision to organize a training program for the people who volunteered to handle Bible classes. This was the point why the PTC Team came to the picture. We were tapped to train these volunteers.
