I have been able to nurture my spiritual life by doing a daily quiet time with the Lord. We have been able to maintain a family Bible reading and prayer every evening before going to bed. Our relationships with other Christian leaders have been strengthened. And we attend to a Bible teaching church where we are very much involved in the ministry: I preach and teach occasionally; Marcia helps with the ladies’ group; Camila is a member of the teen’s leadership board; and Andre is a member of Sunday school. So we feel part of the community.
PRAYER For ESCALE (School for Equipping Christian Leaders) and its work in Brazil:- The fulfilment of ESCALE’s mission and vision, especially as it contribute for the extension of God’s Kingdom in Brazil.
- That all those involved with ESCALE could help to minister at various “in situ” training base.
- For the pastors who weekly attend to ESCALE Preacher’s Club in Belo Horizonte.
- For Nelson’s perseverance as his work can be very lonely at times.
- For refreshment course opportunities that Nelson and ESCALE staff members could attend to.
- For the maturity of the Brazilian Christian Church and its leadership.
- For finances that could help us to respond to the cry of many pastors and leaders for Bible training.
- That we will be able to build 2 extra rooms at our house to be ESCALE office and a place for the ESCALE Preachers Club will meet.
Prayer for Family:
- For Nelson, Márcia, Camila (14) and André Salviano (11).
- That we might be able to make a party to commemorate Camila’s 15th birthday.
- God’s grace and strength for Márcia to be a mother, wife and nurse.
- For the Salviano’s involvement with the local church, where Nelson preaches and teaches from time to time, and where Camila and Márcia participate in the leadership team.
- That Camila and André may be good Christian influence among their peers.
- God’s wisdom, grace and strength for Nelson as he has to do most of the ministering to Pastors and leaders as well as care for his own family.
- That God provides finances for our monthly family budget.
- That God helps us to grow spiritually as individuals and that He keeps each of us in a good health.
