Someone from CrossWay sent me a list of questions to evaluate your church. Four of the questions on evangelism really caught my attention. Here they are:
- Are the people we are reaching more religious or pagan?
- What can we learn about our evangelism practices by the kind of people are being reached with the gospel?
- What will it take to reach those in our city who are far from God and have no access to the gospel?
- What percentage of our growth is conversion growth (vs. transfer growth)?
My desire and prayer is that CrossWay would grow in its ability to reach true pagans with the Gospel. I would love to see the majority of our growth coming from conversion growth rather than transfer growth. I hope we see some of the fruit of conversion growth through this semester’s Exploring Christianity.

THIS WEEK
This week we are looking at Jesus Christ as Savior and asking the question, “What is so unique about Jesus that makes Him a Savior?
SPECIFIC PRAYER
We desperately need your prayers, as always...
- Pray that guests continue to come, despite the cold weather.
- Pray for the care of the children and the joy of the children workers.
- Pray for those cooking and serving meals; that they would be a light to our guests.
- Pray for the setup and take-down team, their labor would be of love for Christ.
- Pray for the effective preaching of the gospel, in the Spirit and with full conviction.
- Pray for the effective leading of discussions, the building of relationships, and genuine love for our guests.
- In all of this, pray that God would be glorified.
Thank you for praying along with us for the regeneration of sinners, the adding of new believers to our church, and the advancement of the
