We are nearing the end of our work on the construction site. Today all of the electrical work except for three outlets on the first floor were installed and the electrical panel on the secon
d floor is installed. The concrete block team poured more columns and added several layers of block above the window jams. There are a few more rows of block to lay and columns to pour before we depart.
The pastors had two teaching sessions on "The Role of Application in Communicating God's Word" and two sessions on "Communicating God's Word with Passion." They continue to work in small groups applying what they have learned by developing sermon outlines for 1Corinthians. It has been humbling to see the hard work, teachableness, and love that these pastors h
ave for God's word. The only resource these pastors own for teaching God's word is a Bible, and they use it well.
We had a sweet time today praying with the Filipino pastors for Exploring Christianity. The fellowship, and times of worship, and times of prayer with them has been a sweet reminder of God's grace towards all of us.Please pray …
1. …for continued safety on the job site and health for the team.
1. …for continued safety on the job site and health for the team.
2. …for continued wisdom and foresight for those who are managing the construction project, especially as we wrap up our work.
3. …for continued joyful and effective service for the construction team.
4. …for effective equipping of the pastors for preaching and teaching. Pray that we would be able to strength their gifts, their courage, and their love for the Savior.
5. …for fellowship as a team as we hear one-another’s testimonies, work together, and express words that speak of God’s lavish grace.
6. …for our families back home, their safety and health, joy and gratefulness in their calling, vision for how they are serving the gospel in the Philippines, and fellowship with one-another.
