It was an especially hot and humid day today. The electrical box was installed on the second floor and Gary and Micki are replacing the connection to the electrical meter. Trenching for the underground conduit was also commenced. The block team built extensions to the scaffolding to lay brick on the second story. We also have continued to form and pour cement into the second floor columns. Even though the appearance of the work has slowed down a bit, we continue to make good progress. In fact, we have already accomplished more than we ever imagined and we still have three full days of work remaining.

Paul Caampued addressed the pastors this evening in an opening ceremony. There are around 50-60 Filipino pastors who are attending the Pastors’ Conference. The theme is “Communicating God’s Word with Clarity and Passion.” The conference will run through Thursday afternoon. The CrossWay team is staying at the same hotel as the Pastors’ Conference, so there will be many opportunities for us to express our gratitude and encouragement to these pastors.
We thank you once again CrossWay, for the vision that you have to glorify God through the transformation of lives by the power of the gospel. We thank you for investing in the development of national pastors overseas, especially here in the Philippines. We thank you for sending and supporting us as a team with your prayers, finances, and words of encouragement. We thank you for the mission mindset that you have for Kenosha, the United States, and to the ends of the earth. We love telling the pastors and churches in the Philippines about CrossWay, her love for the gospel, her vision for the world, and her prayers, and support, and gratitude for the work in the Philippines.
Please pray …
1. …for continued safety on the job site and health for the team.
2. …for continued wisdom and foresight for those who are managing the construction project.
3. …for continued joyful and effective service for the construction team.
4. …for effective equipping of the pastors for preaching and teaching. Pray that we would be able to strength their gifts, their courage, and their love for the Savior.
5. …for fellowship as a team as we hear one-another’s testimonies, work together, and express words that speak of God’s lavish grace.
6. …for our families back home, their safety and health, joy and gratefulness in their calling, vision for how they are serving the gospel in the Philippines, and fellowship with one-another.
