Let us continue to ask God, who controls the wind and the waves, to have mercy, to extend grace, to strengthen the outreach of the church, and to draw many Filipinos to Himself. Please pray especially for the work of the Caampueds and PTC Leadership Team.Typhoon Quiel had exited from the Philippines but great devastation was left. Many people are still wet, cold, hungry, thirsty, sick, and rendered homeless and without livelihood because of the 2 typhoons. Greatly affected were the provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Benguet, and Nueva Ecija. Some parts of Western Metro Manila were also greatly affected.
Our farm in Tanay was not spared of the devastation brought by typhoon Pedring and Quiel. the perimeter fence near the river was totally uprooted. The rice about to be harvested this month was damaged. The corn we planted were also destroyed. The other crops were also gone. We will have to replant in the following weeks.
The hut we use to raise chickens and which serves as shelter for the farm equipment was blown down. Also the shelter for the goats, cows and caribous was totally damaged.
However, by God's grace, our relatives who live there are safe. Manuel, Espie and their 2 children are safe. My brother Nestor and his family are also well, including their neighbors.
Please pray for me and Arcy as we will be traveling to Iloilo from October 10-14 to conduct Essentials of Expository Preaching in Dungon Christian Church. Also attending the seminars are PTC Team members, Andres Navarra, Ulysses Castor, Peter Arbolario, and Marcelito Cagud.
