Salviano's News and Prayer Requests

Luis Keelin, who prayed for the Salviano's at our recent Sunday Evening Gathering, passed along a recent Email from Nelson about the work in Brazil and their prayer requests as a family.  Let us ask God for their specific requests on their behalf.

Dear Luis and Beverly,

Greetings in Jesus' name!

Many thanks for your e-mail which brought great encouragement to us. We do miss your fellowship too. By the way, are you coming to visit us in 2012 with David Vecchitto? Anyway, we are glad to hear that you are keeping well.

Well let’s go to the prayer points. But, before that, let me say thanks to all CWCC friends, as well as to you both for praying for us and been so supportive in many ways.
  1. For Nelson – he is quite busy at the moment in preparation for delivering some teachings at a town called Assis, in the south. There will be around 50 pastors waiting for his lectures on Expository Preaching. Pray for him to be focused, inspiration by the Holly Spirit and God’s grace. He will speak at eight sessions.
  2. ESCALE – We are building an office for ESCALE and a room in our backyard and it is taking so long. Please pray that we may finish it soon. Especially because André has allergy with all the dust every where.
  3. Camila – pray for her studies as her High School is very much pushing. Three times a week she starts at 7am and finishes 6:40pm. She has tests every Friday evenings besides many papers to write. And she usually gets home very tired. Apart from that she is also busy at the weekends leading the teenager group at the Church. They have prayer meeting on Friday night, home visiting on Saturday and Sunday school. We as a family attend the morning and the evening services as well.
  4. André – he is recovering from a tropical disease called “DENGUE”, which is caused by a mosquito called Aedes aegypt. The person who is infected gets much muscle pain, lose all the energy, fever and platelets go down. When it drops below 100.000 can cause a hemorrhagic type which is quite risky. But praise the Lord that André had a classical type and his platelets went up to 128.000 and it is getting to normal again. Pray also for his decision to become a church member. He is attending preparation class on Sunday mornings and so far he is very much motivated.
  5. Márcia – please pray for the Federal University Clinics Hospital, where she works. They are on strike due to many financial and administrative problems. So, it has caused lots of stress and disturbances within the work environment. Márcia and other work mates hold short prayer meetings there. Pray that this group would persevere and it can be an evangelistic opportunity. Please, pray also for the church’s women’s group that she attends and helps.
Our Bible text for this month is Isaiah 45.18, 19.

Well, thanks again for praying for us. May the Lord bless each and every one of you with His peace, joy and grace.

Love,

Nelson, Márcia, Camila and André Salviano.
