God's grace was manifest through you by your generous, selfless, sacrificial, and mission minded giving with an offering of over $9,000 this past Sunday morning.Mission Minded
Thank you CrossWay for being a mission minded church who has a vision to reach all peoples with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The offering will be used to pay for ministry expenses on the ground and all excess money will be sent to the poor pastors and churches of Brazil. Your giving will take the gospel beyond the confines of this trip and continue well after our departure.
Itinerary
Thank you for going with us to Brazil through your prayers, Emails, and interest in what God is doing in Brazil. Here is a brief summary of our itinerary as we've planned it, yet we recognize that God will determine our steps. We will be posting daily entries on Missio to keep you updated.
August 8
12:30 depart CrossWay, 4:00 depart O'Hare, 11:15 depart Miami
August 9
Arrive Belo Horizonte, 4 hour bus trip to Governador Valadares, fellowship with a local church, visit a church building that needs repairs.
August 10
Train pastors, care for pastor's wives, construction on church building, preach in a local church.
August 11
Visit poor families, street evangelism, preach in 4 different churches.
August 12
Social action in Bairro Planalto, street evangelism, preach in 4 different churches, pastor training.
August 13
Socail action in Bairro Vila dos Montes, women's outreach, construction on church building, preach in 4 different churches.
August 14
Sight seeing in Governador Valadares, sports evangelism camp, preach in 2 different churches, pastor training.
August 15
Travel back to Belo Horizonte, lunch at Nelson Salviano's home, sight seeing in Belo.
August 16
Participate in morning church service, attend Brazilian futbol match.
August 17
Group testimonies of God's grace, shopping in Belo, travel home.
August 18
Arrive O'Hare International Airport
Prayer Requests
1. That God would use the CrossWay team to plant several seeds for the gospel and we would see some Brazilians come to faith in Christ.
2. That God would use the CrossWay team to show the love of Christ to many poor families in Brazil through our practical care.
3. That God would use CrossWay to help equip the Brazilian pastors to preach the gospel with clarity, accuracy, and passion.
4. That God would use our time in Brazil to strengthen our partnership with Nelson Salviano and his leadership team.
5. That God would use this Brazil 09 mission trip to spread a passion for missions and reaching the nations with the gospel throughout CrossWay.
