Saturday evening we all gathered in Nelson’s home for a time of fellowship with his family. Sunday morning we all attended his church and I had the privilege of preaching in his home church. He attends a Presbyterian church in the Center of Belo.
After church we visited an outdoor market where many local goods were being sold. It felt like the heart of the Brazilian culture with the different foods, local merchandise, people, and music all
Sunday evening we attended a futbol match (soccer game) between Nelson’s team, Cruzeiro Futbol Club and Santos from Sao Paulo. This too is at the heart of the Brazilian culture. The fans are faithful and for the entire game stand, jump, clap, and chant songs in unison. It is an amazing sight, you almost feel like you are in the Roman Coliseum.
This morning we will spend some time recounting God’s goodness and bearing testimony to how God has been at work in our lives. This afternoon we will do some shopping for souvenirs and head to the airport to begin our long journey home.
We depart Belo at 9:30 pm and arrive at O’Hare at 10:00 am Tuesday morning. Please pray for safe travels and the health of the team, some of the team members have caught colds or stomach bugs; nothing major but challenging when you are so far away from home and have a long journey ahead of you.
We look forward to seeing you next Sunday, if not before, our beloved church CrossWay. We thank
The final video interview is scheduled to be posted on Tuesday afternoon. Don’t miss the interview with Pastor Marcelo, he is a man filled with faith, joy, and the Holy Spirit.
