Brazil 09 - Day 5

How would I describe our time in Brazil so far? Physically exhausting, but spiritually refreshing. Yesterday we finished our work in Governador Valadares and today we are making the 5 hour bus trip back to Belo Horizonte.

Highlights from yesterday? In the morning we drove up to Ibituruna, the mountain that borders Governador Valadares. It is a world famous mountain for world championship hang-gliding competitions. In fact, many of our team members, as well as Nelson Salviano, took advantage of the opportunity and jumped off the mountain! We all had a sweet time of praising the Lord for His creative power as we looked out over the city and countryside from Ibituruna.

In the afternoon we hosted an evangelistic sports camp for the children. There was multiples soccer and volleyball games. In between different competitions we sang worship songs, shared testimonies, and shared Two Ways To Live. Last night three men were preaching in local churches – Keith Riley, Lu Keelin, Joel Swift – and I was teaching the final pastor training session.

Please Pray

Our time in Belo Horizonte will be more relaxing, please pray for…

Our continued health and safety as a team.

Our fellowship with one-another and with Nelson Salviano and his family.

Our opportunity to encourage one-another, and strengthen one-another, and minister God’s grace to one-another.

Our reflecting and testifying to all that God has done in our lives and that God would continue to build our faith to live all of life for Him.
