Relief and Prayer for Haiti

Relief for Haiti is pouring in from all over the world in the form of money, supplies, and relief workers. With most of the larger relief organizations, financial donations for Haitian relief are converted into aid in a matter of hours.

Financial Donations

If you are planning on giving to help with the earthquake relief in Haiti – and we want to encourage you to be thinking about this – here are some recommended Christian organizations that are providing relief in Haiti. You can give directly and securely on the front pages of their websites.

Does God Hate Haiti?

Dr. Robert Mohler, President of Southern Seminary, has a helpful post on The Gospel Coalition titled Does God Hate Haiti? that helps us think rightly about God, national disasters, and the people of Haiti.

Pray …

  • …that victims still trapped would be rescued.
  • ...that victims rescued would receive the health and nutritional care to survive.
  • ...for strength, rest, and wisdom for the health care workers.
  • …that the rest of the Haitians would have clean water, food, and shelter.
  • …for the comfort and care of those who lost loved ones.
  • …for wisdom and gifting for those who are directing the logistics of rescue, aid, and relief.
  • …that the airport would ensure the relief supplies get into Haity safely and timely.
  • …for safety at the airport as thousands try to vacate Haiti.
  • …for security and safety for relief and aid workers who are in Haiti.
  • …for the church in Haiti to demonstrate and bear witness to the love of Jesus Christ.
  • …that many Haitians and relief workers would put their trust in Jesus Christ.
  • …that through all of this God may be glorified and the church strengthened.
