Philippines Update - June 2010

The work in the Philippines continues to progress, yet at a much slower pace after our departure. There is about 4 full weeks of work to complete the construction of the main building: drywall walls separating rooms in the mezzanine, drywall the second floor ceiling, install and seal the mezzanine floor, lay the tile on the second floor, and paint the interior and exterior of the building.

CrossWay is sending the remaining funds (about $6,800) by the end of the month which will enable them to complete the construction. Here is an update from Paul on the construction since our departure.

At the PTC Center, we stop work today. By God's grace, we were able to pour concrete at the fire exit area to comply with the fire safety code of the Philippines. The paint on the southern wall was done, and the exterior ceiling was put in place. The glass windows in the dormer were put in place as well.

You will also notice that Paul has a new haircut, inspired by our own Bob Martinelli according to Paul and, of course, it is much cooler. Please continue to pray for their rest and strength, wisdom to know how quickly to complete the building, and a timely and smooth completion of the construction.
