We received this recent update from Paul Mbandi who serves along with his family in Kenya.
Please continue praying for the ministry of Scott Theological College. The term of several members of the Governing Council including the chairman and the vice chairman has expired. Therefore, the denomination and the college leaderships are looking for new members of the college Governing Council. Also due to financial situation we are restructuring. This is forcing the college Management Board to make very hard decisions. The decisions include outsourcing some services, for example kitchen. We may also reduce the college employees. I was involved in many meetings, and consultation this week. I am also concluding teaching an online masters course "Administration and Decision Making."
Pray for me, as the Deputy Principal of Academic Affairs my work is very challenging at the moment. Next semester we are going to have only one missionary lecturer and the college is not able to hire enough Kenyan lecturers. Therefore, all of us are going to be taking extra work load. It is very clear that these months were not the best months for me to come to the USA. I trust that God shall open a good opportunity to come and share with you about what God is doing in Africa.
Pray for Rodah, she shall be a speaker at one of the regional women's conference in August.
Yours Faithfully,
Paul Mbandi
