After a full day of travel, we arrived safely yesterday at Rancho3M - thank God! What a joy to return to the ranch, see Dean and his family, and reconnect with children we haven't seen in a year.
The last couple of trips, we have sought to serve the ranch through work projects. This year we are seeking to serve the children and staff of Rancho3M by investing relationally in the children. This morning we launched "Campo La Vida." It turns out "Campo La Vida" is more Spanglish than Spanish. The idea is "Camp of Life." Campo La Vida is basically a bulked up Vacation Bible School. We have a daily chapel (focusing on the gospel) and four activity periods: large group games (today its kickball), crafts (name tags and visors), trust building (they are unraveling the human knot as I write), and discovery (right now they are discovering why God designed tumbleweeds to tumble).
In light of having just started Campo La Vida, would you please pray:
1. That God would make quick and significant relational connections between our students and the children of the ranch and use those relationships to adorn the gospel.
2. That God would knit our team together as we share our testimonies of God's grace during our meal times. Josh Gunderson and Dan Rozema shared specific things this morning of how God is at work in their lives.
3. That God would exalt Himself during the morning chapels as we gaze upon different facets of the gospel gem.
4. That God would give us Col. 1:29 kind of strength.
We are experiencing some "technical difficulties" uploading video. Lord willing, we'll work out the kinks and you will be able to see a sampling of what is going on down here.
