The Gospel Coalition is having their 2009 national conference in Chicago on April 21-23rd under the title, “Entrusted With The Gospel: Living the Vision of 2 Timothy.”The Gospel Coalition is “a group of (mostly) pastors and churches in the Reformed heritage who delight in the truth and power of the gospel, and who want the gospel of Christ crucified and resurrected to lie at the center of all we cherish, preach, and teach.”
CrossWay is deeply committed and invested in The Gospel Coalition. Mike Bullmore represents CrossWay Community Church as one of the founding council members of The Gospel Coalition. Ben Peays, the Executive Director of the Gospel Coalition, is an active member of CrossWay with his family.
We ask you to join us in praying for the conference this week and the effect it has long after the conference has ended.
- Pray for Ben Peays and his team, that all the logistics they have planned will run smoothly.
- Pray for Steve Moore and the worship team from CrossWay as they lead the 3,000+ delegates in worship.
- Pray for all of the speakers, especially those doing the plenary sessions and Mike Bullmore who is doing a workshop on The Functional Centrality of the Gospel.
- Pray for everyone attended, that they would be freshly affected by the gospel and leave the conference committed to building their lives and churches on the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Pray for the churches represented by those attending, that the gospel would have a redeeming effect in their communities and that their churches would live in the good of the gospel.
