Earlier this fall CrossWay sent Paul Caampued $1,000 to help with repairs from two hurricanes that caused damage on the farm they use to provide food and income. Last week Paul sent an update on their progress. He writes,
As mentioned earlier, I was in the farm last Saturday and joined the worship service with the believers that meet there.
Some trees were already cut enough to for the wooden posts of the shelter for the cows and carabaos. The post were in placed and the based were poured with concrete. The structure for the roof is being completed. In two weeks, it is expected that roof will be restored and the flooring poured with concrete. The bamboo fence infront of the farm house had been replaced, and the additional barbed wire to strengthen the perimeter fence had been installed.
It's delightful to see some of the coconut trees planted 7 years ago are now bearing fruit. We harvested 2 pieces of fully matured coconuts which we used in cooking glutinous rice (that we pounded in traditional way just to have some fun).
New rice seedlings had been grown to be sown in the field before Christmas.
Have a joyful Thanksgiving celebration!
Paul
