Hope everyone had a great day off yesterday. I just wanted to give you a brief update of our current situation here in Guadalupe:
Thanks to the Lord we have been enjoying a season of peace here since late June!
We know of No incidents in our area since that time. It appears that people have started moving back –some not all. They say that Guadalupe has from 70 to 75 % of it’s population back (up from 50% this summer). You can now see folks walking the streets, pushing their babies, etc. The lines at the Fabens border crossing are increasing. That’s great news because it means people are coming back to visit friends or have moved back. My son and I have been walking 4 miles outside the Ranch regularly without incident even though we take precautions.
The apparent reason for this transformation is that they say the Sinaloa Cartel has taken firm control of this area and risen to power which has caused the fighting to stop in our area-Praise God!!!!!!! We do however need to continue to pray for our brothers in Juarez who are NOT enjoying the same peace we are.
