We are in Kenya! An entire blog could be filled with the things we have already learned and experienced of Kenyan culture, food, and politics. We've seen zebra, giraffe, monkeys, gazelle, and camel. But, far more important are the ways in which we have already experienced God's goodness and reminders of the work He is doing around the world.
On our flight to London we met Brittany, a young lady on her way to India to serve unreached people groups there for the Gospel. Then, on our connection from London to Nairobi we met Festus, a Kenyan Christian brother who is now living in London and was on his way to visit family. Both served as encouragement and were able to share how God has used them in Kenya, London, and India.
This morning (Sunday) we awoke to the beautiful valley that Scott Theological College calls home. Rested and excited for church, we ate and headed out to an African Inland Church (AIC) in Nairobi. It was an amazing service, filled with worship, and teaching out of Judges.
From there we briefly toured Nairobi, stopping at one of the largest churches (another AIC church) where an outdoor evangelism/worship event was being held.
Travel around Kenya is an adrenaline rush (more on that in future posts), but the team is doing well. Tomorrow we will get a tour of the campus and help greet the new incoming students. From there, the work begins. We are all doing well and are eager to see how God will use us during our [quickly passing] time here.
