Thank you very much for your e-mails and prayers. I have been extremely busy since January with training events and now I can relax a bit and write to you. Please do give our love to your family.
The first two months of 2011 were of much work, especially the last 3 weeks as we planned and led two Seminars on Expository Preaching and Hermeneutics in two different cities: Governador Valadares (GV) and Belo Horizonte (BH). In GV we met from 21-24/02 for meetings both in the afternoon and evenings; there we had 18 pastors and leaders taking part.
In BH, we held the Seminar in one Christian Camp 25 Km outside the city. There we had 37 pastors and leaders who stayed in the place from 25th afternoon to 27th afternoon. It was tremendous being all together for 3 days studying the Bible in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. Please do look at the pictures I have attached.
The Seminar we held outside Belo Horizonte was our first experience taking people to a place outside the city and having to provide food, bed and training to all of them. It was a fantastic experience and the students went back home joyfully wanting to put into practice what they have learnt. We are already planning a second phase which will be a Seminar on New Testament Exposition and the 3rd phase on Exposition of the Old Testament.
Please do thank the people of CrossWay for their prayers and financial gift which have helped us to hold meetings and train many Christian leaders. This year I am praying that the Lord will provide for us to go to Miranda-MS (center west) and Ouricuri-PE (northeast). We would like to attend the cry of the local leaders for training and go there at least once a year. These are the furthest in situ training sites we travel to. It is a hard work, but it is also very rewarding and worth any effort. So please do pray that we will have the resources we need to attend these two places and the other regular ones.
May His hands be upon each of you to bless, guide and protect in all your ways.
With much love in Christ Jesus,
Nelson, Márcia, Camila and André Salviano.
