Dear Family & Friends,
Just a very short note to let you all know that after 3 plane rides, a 15 hour train ride, and two taxi rides we (and all our luggage) arrived safe and sound in River City. We are grateful to our kind Father who gave us safe and hassle-free travels all the way.
Here are a few of the highlights: Our bags were the last ones off the carousel but they did come. Ch@d had a cough but... we still didn't get quarantined for the H1N1 Virus. We had a 11:06 flight out of Minneapolis but arrived in time to be hustled onto the 10:06 flight. Though we were unable to get seat assignments online before traveling, we were given two seats alone in an exit aisle on the bulk head (with lots and lots of leg room for the long trip)!
Ch@d spent most of today criss-crossing L-pura looking for a place to rent, while Ch@rity stayed busy criss-crossing the entire city learning her way around. Both of us were out in the neighborhood tonight looking for possible places to live. Your prayers for just the right place are much appreciated. It feels like a God-sized task, but that is okay. He is able.
