Greetings from the Salvianos,
This years bridge group had the privilege of skyping with the Salvianos. It was such a treat to see Nelson and Marcia and talk to them for a short while. They send their love to Crossway Bristol and Crossway Milwaukee.
Even though Brazilians don't celebrate Thanksgiving like us, they are very thankful for what God is doing in and through them in Brazil. In the border of Bolivia, there are many churches there that are in need of ministers. Nelson and Pastor Geraldo are meeting with their daughter churches in hopes to raise up more ministers through a year long training course that they will become full time ministers. Also, November 27th through the 29th they are holding a conference for pastors in a big town for the whole region! They are expecting 80 leaders to come. Nelson and two other pastors will preach on "New Testament Exposition." Marcia is also holding a training conference but for the nurses at the hospital where she works. Even though the majority of the training will be about nursing and other care, she would also like to talk about God and His Word there!! Praise the Lord!!
We can be praying for them along these lines.
- Both conferences for Nelson and Marcia
- Safety while traveling (lots of curves and rough terrain)
- Camila (daughter) she is taking tests for school both for high schools ability to know where their students levels are, as well as testing for college (like our ACT tests)
- Andre (son) pray that he will be able to get off his asthma medication
