Praises
- Praise God for the excellent results of the rummage sale, with proceeds going toward the tuition of Raphael, the student CrossWay sponsors at Scott.
- Plaster work is in progress at the local church in Masaw'a. Conduit for future electrical wiring has been installed.
- Rodah is taking a one month leave from work to work on her thesis – pray for rest and progress on her writing.
- Rainy season has arrived!
- Graduation at Scott went well! US Ambassador to Kenya Scott Gration spoke at the graduation. His parents were missionaries with AIM and he was named after the founder of that mission work – Peter Cameron Scott.
Prayer Requests
- Rainy season is a mixed blessing. There have been floods in Kenya and over 50 have died.
- Continue to pray for the children and their schooling. Josh has completed 2 trimesters, and just began his third. Pray for safety for Josh, who is commuting 1 ½ – 2 hours through areas that are not always safe. Also safety for Irene and Kevin as they travel back to school.
- Scott Summer School is in session. Pray for classes and the safe travel of student interns.
- Pray for a Pastor’s Conference May 28 – June 1. Theme: “Peace and Reconciliation”. Paul is the main speaker. Pray that God will use the pastors to go back to their people with a message that will help reduce tribal tensions sparked by difficult politics in Kenya (elections will be taking place later this year or early 2013).
- Pray for funding and continued construction for the church in Masaw'a.
- Pray that their cars will stay in good repair as they travel on the bad roads there.
- Pray for financial provision for the students at Scott and for the Mbandis.
