Brothers and Sisters – please continue in active prayer for beloved friends in Kenya. We recently had a sweet time of Skyping with the Mbandis, and have listed some of their updates and prayer requests below.
Praise God – funds were very quickly raised to provide a laptop to the student at Scott that Crossway is sponsoring.
Prayer Requests:
- Paul and Rodah both have been traveling a lot to do seminars in rural areas. They are passionate and committed to these seminars and bringing gospel-centered messages to these rural areas, but it puts a strain on their time and their vehicles. Please pray for persistence, safety, and maintenance.
- There is so much need in the rural areas for the gospel and for leadership development of Pastors and church leaders. Please pray for God to continue opening doors to new opportunities to serve and the people to fill these needs.
- The boys are all home on Holiday. Help this time to be sweet and refreshing.
- The weather has been very hot and dry and some people have to travel far to get water. Rain is expected this week – April and May are typically the “rainy season”. Pray for much needed rain.
- Pray for the students at Scott as they prepare for final exams – graduating seniors have exams around April 20 & the rest of the students have exams during the last week in April.
- Pray for Paul and the staff at Scott as they prepare for graduation on May 4, administering exams, banquet preparations, and graduation ceremony preparations
- Pray for the ongoing building project at the Masawa Church. They have a quote for installation of wiring, which must be completed before the walls are plastered. 8 bags of plaster are on hand and doors have been delivered, but are not yet paid for. The work will continue as funds are available to proceed.
- Pray for the youth at the local church as they lead a Good Friday service this week as well as the Sunday Easter service.
- Pray for a special Joint District Service to be held on Sunday – 13 local churches are gathering for a special celebration as they launch the opening of new District Offices.
- Pray for security / safety in the area where Paul and Rodah live. There have been instances of neighbors being “hi-jacked” when arriving home – with thieves stealing money, computers and other valuables.
