Mentoring: Zamir
One of my Albanian students, Zamir, grew up Muslim and even at-tended Islamic school for five years. Like Rini, he also prayed five times a day and kept the month long fast of Ramadan.
Now a believer and follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, Zamir, still has a difficult time sharing with his Muslim friends. It’s particularly difficult to share how Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and God the Father are three distinct persons yet still one being/essence. His friends say, "How can three persons be one?"
After listening to the challenges Zamir faces, we looked at some key Bible pas-sages. We came up with simple, yet accurate ways to communicate how the one be-ing, God, can be expressed in the three persons of the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Mentoring ensures that what is taught is caught!
Living: On the Personal Side– Our Three Year Old Encourages Daddy to Time With the Lord
The other night I (Daddy) was putting Tosha to bed. After praying with him and tucking him in, he sat up and pointed to a book at the end of his bed. He then said, "Daddy, Jesus book!" Yes, I had forgotten to read from his chil-dren’s Bible. "From the lips of infants and nursing babes" (Matt.21:16) comes praise and encouragement to walk with the Lord!
